Parent Voice

The views of our families are important to us.  We ask our parents' views via a variety of different methods: surveys, coffee mornings, Assertive Mentoring meetings, parent view, testimonials and of course those valuable informal moments on the playground.

In a recent survey following the Autumn 2018 Parent Meetings:

96% of parents said that the meetings gave them 'precise information about my child's progress'

100% of parents said that they 'liked the way my child was involved in the meeting'

100% of parents said that as a result 'my child knows what they need to do in their core subjects to make progress.

Please find below further survey results.

'You asked, we listened,' successes include:

1.  The  request for an additional five minutes at the end of the Assertive Mentoring meetings to discuss any issues with the teacher without parents' children present; this was actioned and is now in place for those parents that wish to use this time.

2. Parents requested some additional guidance around what types of books their children should be reading. Each class teacher identified key texts for their year groups and added to a whole school reading list which was circulated to all parents. (This is available at the bottom of this page)

3. Parents and children enquired about offering a wider range of after school clubs. This has been acted upon and we now have a very wide range of extra curricular activities available including : sports, lego; zumba and yoga.

4. Parents requested a calendar of events across the year. Please find this below.
